The rum is made from one strain of yeast called La Levadura Bacardi that has survived for more than 150 years, giving the spirit it's signature flavor. Bacardi Gold Rum gets the rich flavor from the premium ingredients like banana, caramel, toasted almonds, vanilla, and orange peel along with the toasted oak barrels that hold the spirit during ageing.
